This concept design for a private residence introduced a dynamic, contemporary structure into a busy suburban area. The triangular plan echoed the site’s shape . In form the building was simple and efficient: the house was set against the roadside protecting the private south-facing garden from traffic noise. Living spaces were located on the ground floor and opened out to the garden. The bedroom area floats above the garden, supported at either end by the garden walls. The site boundary walls and the house itself was finished in a white lime render.
