This discrete 2-storey house nestles into a hillside in Co. Wicklow. The house is accessed from the upper level where living rooms are located, giving them spectacular views of the Wicklow landscape and the Irish Sea beyond. Bedrooms are at the garden level and are accessed via a cantilevered steel stairs from the hall.

The house follows the local vernacular form and proportions, with a mixture of traditional finishes, common on rural houses and agricultural buildings in the locality; black corrugated metal at the entrance level and roof and painted plaster at the garden level. A wood-finished study cantilevers out over the back of the house, looking towards the trees beyond. Large areas of glazing at the rear of the house maximise views and light. The main living/dining/cooking space faces south and east and is orientated towards the Irish Sea.
